Pollinator Highway

The Pollinator Highway is a green corridor rich in biodiversity, connecting six of Tallinn’s eight districts and offering a space for both nature and people to thrive.

The Pollinator Highway AR app uses augmented reality to showcase planned developments and engage the community. 3D plans are activated by pointing a phone at artist-created graffiti murals, with the option to leave feedback directly in the app.

As the designer, I created the app’s user interface and UX, focusing on an intuitive way for passersby to interact with their surroundings. To support this, I designed a clear wayfinding system with QR codes for easy app downloads, along with posters and stickers placed in nearby bus shelters.

After launch, I conducted user testing and interviews to validate the app’s strengths and identify areas for improvement. This experimental AR solution holds significant potential for growth and demonstrates how technology can bridge urban planning with community engagement.
